The auction ended at the price of EUR 50,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 48,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaetano Chierici have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'ultimo nato in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 248,650.00 (€ 384,605.24).

Die Arbeit L'ultima forchettata von Gaetano Chierici kam im November 2018 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 50.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 48.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaetano Chierici auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'ultimo nato im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 248.650,00 (€ 384.605,24).
