Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Italian la Pappa by Gaetano Chierici was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 134,500.00 (€ 103,382.01). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaetano Chierici - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'ultimo nato, which sold at auction in June 2002 for GBP 248,650.00 (€ 384,605.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Italian la Pappa von Gaetano Chierici wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 134.500,00 (€ 103.382,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaetano Chierici mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'ultimo nato beobachtet, die im Juni 2002 für GBP 248.650,00 (€ 384.605,24) versteigert wurde.
