Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work The bay of Naples with Castel Sant'Elmo on the Vomero hill and Castel Nuovo on the bay, the Vesuvius in the distance by Gabriele Ricciardelli. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,246.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabriele Ricciardelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Lanterna del Molo, Naples, with figures, the bay and Vesuvius beyond in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 444,050.25).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The bay of Naples with Castel Sant'Elmo on the Vomero hill and Castel Nuovo on the bay, the Vesuvius in the distance von Gabriele Ricciardelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.246,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gabriele Ricciardelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Lanterna del Molo, Naples, with figures, the bay and Vesuvius beyond im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 444.050,25).
