Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Surviving Memories #1 by FX Harsono was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 90,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,260.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by FX Harsono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Watching the wound in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 847,500.00 (€ 69,771.69).
