Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of USD 750.00 (€ 506.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harry Furniss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gladstone At The Despatch Box, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,707.83).
