Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Fu Shan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,200,000.00 – 3,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,520,000.00 (€ 280,315.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Fu Shan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 12,040,000.00 (€ 1,141,525.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Fu Shan kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.200.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.520.000,00 (€ 280.315,10) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fu Shan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seven-Character Poem In Cursive Script im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.040.000,00 (€ 1.141.525,80).
