In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP, which included the work Unknown by Friedrich Capelari. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Friedrich Capelari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White birds on pomegranate tree at night, which sold at auction in March last year for USD 4,800.00 (€ 4,327.05).

Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von Friedrich Capelari zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.756,66) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Friedrich Capelari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White birds on pomegranate tree at night beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für USD 4.800,00 (€ 4.327,05) versteigert wurde.
