Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter landscape by Frits Thaulow for SEK 460,000.00 (€ 43,840.74). This price was achieved in the auction Important Winter Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 500,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frits Thaulow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall), which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter landscape von Frits Thaulow für SEK 460.000,00 (€ 43.840,74) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 500.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frits Thaulow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22) versteigert wurde.
