Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Evening light over the river Arques by Ancourt, landscape from Normandy by Frits Thaulow for SEK 300,000.00 (€ 28,591.79). This price was achieved in the auction Important Winter Sale at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 350,000.00 – 400,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frits Thaulow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Evening light over the river Arques by Ancourt, landscape from Normandy von Frits Thaulow für SEK 300.000,00 (€ 28.591,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Winter Sale bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 350.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frits Thaulow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22).
