Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Dieppe by Frits Thaulow for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 38,427.67). This price was achieved in the auction British & European Art: European Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frits Thaulow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall), which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 96,500.00 (€ 122,752.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dieppe von Frits Thaulow für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 38.427,67) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & European Art: European Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frits Thaulow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snødekt by med elv og foss (Snow-covered town with waterfall) beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 96.500,00 (€ 122.752,22) versteigert wurde.
