Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A wooded landscape with travellers on a path by Frederik de Moucheron was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 5,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederik de Moucheron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An extensive Italianate landscape with travellers on a wooded track in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A wooded landscape with travellers on a path von Frederik de Moucheron im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 5.250,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederik de Moucheron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An extensive Italianate landscape with travellers on a wooded track im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 51.650,00 (€ 65.621,91).
