Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2009 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art, which included the work A Pastoral Landscape by Frederik de Moucheron. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,525.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederik de Moucheron - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An extensive Italianate landscape with travellers on a wooded track, which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2009 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings, Including European Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pastoral Landscape von Frederik de Moucheron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.525,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederik de Moucheron mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An extensive Italianate landscape with travellers on a wooded track beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 65.621,91) versteigert wurde.
