Despite a disappointment, a good price for Frederick Stuart Church
When the work The Sirens by Frederick Stuart Church was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,713.07). Despite this disappointing result, The Sirens is the most expensive artwork by Frederick Stuart Church that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit The Sirens von Frederick Stuart Church im März 2009 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
