Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel, which included the work A Jolly Time by Frederick Stuart Church. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,600.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 843.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick Stuart Church have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Sirens in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,713.07).
