In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Awkward Squad sight 10 x 24 in. framed 22 1/2 x 36 1/2 in. by Frederick Stuart Church. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,096.00 (€ 3,755.04), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick Stuart Church; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Sirens sold at auction in March 2009 with the realized price of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,713.07).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Awkward Squad sight 10 x 24 in. framed 22 1/2 x 36 1/2 in. von Frederick Stuart Church zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.096,00 (€ 3.755,04) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frederick Stuart Church; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Sirens im März 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.713,07).
