In November 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction COLES MYER COLLECTION, which included the work After The Fire, Flinders Island III by Frederick Ronald Williams. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 53,775.00 (€ 31,322.45), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Ronald Williams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Upwey Landscape in April 2006 with an auction result of AUD 1,807,000.00 (€ 1,086,862.40).

Im November 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion COLES MYER COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit After The Fire, Flinders Island III von Frederick Ronald Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 53.775,00 (€ 31.322,45) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Ronald Williams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Upwey Landscape im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.807.000,00 (€ 1.086.862,40).
