Auction result well in line with expectations
The work View of Clifden looking towards Maidenhead by Frederick Richard Lee was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2011. The price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,042.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Richard Lee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rock Of Gibraltar in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,141.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit View of Clifden looking towards Maidenhead von Frederick Richard Lee kam im November 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.042,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Richard Lee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rock Of Gibraltar im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 50.141,16).
