Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone, which included the work Reflections by Frederick McDuff. The price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,763.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick McDuff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures with cabanas at the beach, which sold at auction in July 2016 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,954.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reflections von Frederick McDuff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.763,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick McDuff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures with cabanas at the beach beobachtet, die im Juli 2016 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.954,15) versteigert wurde.
