Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tasting The Riches of London by Frederick Charles Herrick was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,398.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frederick Charles Herrick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work International Advertising Exhibition in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,547.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tasting The Riches of London von Frederick Charles Herrick kam im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.398,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Charles Herrick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit International Advertising Exhibition im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.547,86).
