Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale, which included the work Seeing The Riches of London by Frederick Charles Herrick. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,020.40). Admittedly, works by Frederick Charles Herrick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work International Advertising Exhibition in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,547.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seeing The Riches of London von Frederick Charles Herrick zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.020,40) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Charles Herrick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit International Advertising Exhibition im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.547,86).
