This artwork by Frederick Charles Herrick achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2012. In the Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale auction, the work 'For A Wide Prospect At Whitsuntide' & 'Come Out At Easter' sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,351.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick Charles Herrick; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot International Advertising Exhibition sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,547.86).
