This artwork by Frederick Charles Herrick achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2012. In the Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale auction, the work Keeps London'S Heart Aglow sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,419.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Charles Herrick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work International Advertising Exhibition, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,547.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Charles Herrick erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Posters With A Purpose: The London Transport Museum Sale wurde die Arbeit Keeps London'S Heart Aglow für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.419,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Charles Herrick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit International Advertising Exhibition beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.547,86) versteigert wurde.
