In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Woman At A Dressing Table by Frederick Carl Frieseke for USD 44,100.00 (€ 44,392.99). This price was achieved in the auction The Ann & Gordon Getty Collection: Volume 2 |Old Master, 19th and 20th Century Paintings, Day Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Carl Frieseke achieve.
