Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Girl at the Writing Desk by Frederick Carl Frieseke was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,000.00 (€ 29,336.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Carl Frieseke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Garden in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,407,500.00 (€ 2,275,950.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Girl at the Writing Desk von Frederick Carl Frieseke kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.000,00 (€ 29.336,27) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Carl Frieseke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Garden im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.407.500,00 (€ 2.275.950,09).
