A top price for Frédéric Montenard - as previously expected
In September 2001 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist, Modern & Post War Art, which included the work La route côtière by Frédéric Montenard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,414.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, La route côtière is the most expensive artwork by Frédéric Montenard that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist, Modern & Post War Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La route côtière von Frédéric Montenard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.414,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist La route côtière das teuerste Kunstwerk von Frédéric Montenard, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
