Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frédéric Benrath could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work De très grands vents n'ayant garde ni mesure (Some great winds beyond control and measure) changed hands for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,590.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frédéric Benrath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mes Archipels, 1991 in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 7,395.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frédéric Benrath konnte im September 2010 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit De très grands vents n'ayant garde ni mesure (Some great winds beyond control and measure) für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.590,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frédéric Benrath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mes Archipels, 1991 im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.395,00.
