Upper estimate price exceeded by 35%
The work Spring Creek by Freddy Timms was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2008. It achieved a price of AUD 10,800 (€ 5,569), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Freddy Timms - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work , which sold at auction in November 2007 for AUD 26,400 (€ 15,903).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 10.800 (€ 5.569) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Freddy Timms mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit beobachtet, die im November 2007 für AUD 26.400 (€ 15.903) versteigert wurde.
