Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, 1994 by Freddy Timms for AUD 11,685 (€ 10,889). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Bonhams in Sidney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 12,000 – 18,000 set by the auction house. Other works by Freddy Timms have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2007 by the work at AUD 26,400 (€ 15,903).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, 1994 von Freddy Timms für AUD 11.685 (€ 10.889) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sidney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 12.000 – 18.000. Andere Arbeiten von Freddy Timms wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2007 die Arbeit mit AUD 26.400 (€ 15.903).
