Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fred Grayson Sayre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December last year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Desert in Bloom 8 x 10 in. framed 12 x 14 in. sold for USD 1,912.50 (€ 1,787.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Grayson Sayre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verbena Clad Dunes in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,461.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Grayson Sayre erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit Desert in Bloom 8 x 10 in. framed 12 x 14 in. für USD 1.912,50 (€ 1.787,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Grayson Sayre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verbena Clad Dunes im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.461,94).
