Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fred Grayson Sayre could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Cabin in the Desert sight 8 x 9 1/2 in. framed 15 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 512.00 (€ 469.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Grayson Sayre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verbena Clad Dunes in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,461.94).
