Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fred Grayson Sayre could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Cabin in the Desert sight 8 x 9 1/2 in. framed 15 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 512.00 (€ 469.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Grayson Sayre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verbena Clad Dunes in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 25,850.00 (€ 30,461.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Grayson Sayre konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Cabin in the Desert sight 8 x 9 1/2 in. framed 15 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. für USD 512,00 (€ 469,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Grayson Sayre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verbena Clad Dunes im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.850,00 (€ 30.461,94).
