This artwork by Fred Eerdekens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2012. In the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work It Is There Always The Same Place In Your Head sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,649.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fred Eerdekens; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Very Short Story With A Lot Of Fiction In The Middle And Something sold at auction in October 2010 with the realized price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,177.77).
