In the Alte Kunst auction, the work Großes Stillleben mit Blüten und Trauben sold for EUR 20,640.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Xaver Petter have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, parrot tulips, an iris, daffodils, peonies, morning-glory and other flowers with a Red Admiral, a bee and other insects in a sculpted urn with peaches and grapes on a marble ledge in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 131,807.36).
