Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Xaver Petter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, parrot tulips, an iris, daffodils, peonies, morning-glory and other flowers with a Red Admiral, a bee and other insects in a sculpted urn with peaches and grapes on a marble ledge, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 104,500.00 (€ 131,807.36).
