The work View of the valley of Terni with the ruins of the Castle of Papigno and the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata by Franz Kaisermann was sold in the Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2016. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,307.26). Admittedly, works by Franz Kaisermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Arch Of Constantine And Part Of The Colosseum in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,027.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View of the valley of Terni with the ruins of the Castle of Papigno and the Church of Santa Maria Annunziata von Franz Kaisermann wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.307,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Kaisermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Arch Of Constantine And Part Of The Colosseum im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 35.027,61).
