The work A) Peasants Talking By The Remains Of The Temple Of Hercules, Tivoli B) Peasants Listening To The Blind Man Of The Village by Franz Kaisermann was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2009. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,667.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Kaisermann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Arch Of Constantine And Part Of The Colosseum, which sold at auction in July 2012 for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 35,027.61).
