It achieved a price of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 83,692.66), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by František Foltýn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Czech imperialism (Imperialismus) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 479,310.59).

Die Arbeit Czech abstract Composition (Abstraktní Kompozice) von František Foltýn kam im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 83.692,66) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von František Foltýn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Czech imperialism (Imperialismus) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 479.310,59).
