Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Street scene from Cairo by Frans Wilhelm Odelmark was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 28,000.00 (€ 3,196.08). Admittedly, works by Frans Wilhelm Odelmark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Swedish A Street In Cairo in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Street scene from Cairo von Frans Wilhelm Odelmark im Juni 2012 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 28.000,00 (€ 3.196,08) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Wilhelm Odelmark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Swedish A Street In Cairo im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
