Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Markusplatsen by Frans Wilhelm Odelmark was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 12,000.00 (€ 1,144.46). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Wilhelm Odelmark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swedish A Street In Cairo in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Markusplatsen von Frans Wilhelm Odelmark im November 2009 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 12.000,00 (€ 1.144,46) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Wilhelm Odelmark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swedish A Street In Cairo im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.500,00 (€ 23.532,81).
