In June 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A Partridge, Snipe, Sparrow, Finch, And Other Birds With A Basket Of Grapes And Langoustines In Wan-Li Kraak Porcelain Bowls, A Mounted Stoneware Jug, Saltcellar, And Glasses On A Tabletop by Frans Snyders. It changed hands for a price of USD 461,000.00 (€ 336,742.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Snyders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A larder with a draped table laden with game, a lobster, vegetables and fruit in a basket, and kraak porcelain, with a parrot and two hounds, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 1,112,750.00 (€ 1,239,702.19).
