In July 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work A draped table laden with game, fruit, vegetables and a boar's head by Frans Snyders. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 209,000.00 (€ 233,211.91), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frans Snyders have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A larder with a draped table laden with game, a lobster, vegetables and fruit in a basket, and kraak porcelain, with a parrot and two hounds in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,112,750.00 (€ 1,239,702.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A draped table laden with game, fruit, vegetables and a boar's head von Frans Snyders zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 209.000,00 (€ 233.211,91) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Snyders auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A larder with a draped table laden with game, a lobster, vegetables and fruit in a basket, and kraak porcelain, with a parrot and two hounds im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.112.750,00 (€ 1.239.702,19).
