This artwork by Frank Wasley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Venice: A symphony in green and gold sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,057.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Wasley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot St. Paul's from the South Bank sold at auction in March 2003 with the realized price of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,446.83).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frank Wasley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit St. Paul's from the South Bank im März 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.446,83).
