This price was achieved in the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 500.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Wasley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work St. Paul's from the South Bank, which sold at auction in March 2003 for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,446.83).
