In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Snipe by Frank Southgate. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,464.77), 27% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Southgate - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Partridge Alighting On A Corn Field, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,736.81).

Im März 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snipe von Frank Southgate zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.464,77) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Southgate mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Partridge Alighting On A Corn Field beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.736,81) versteigert wurde.
