Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waiting For Master by Frank Paton was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in June 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,302.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Paton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 17,327.50 (€ 25,788.51).

Die Arbeit Waiting For Master von Frank Paton wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.302,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Paton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.327,50 (€ 25.788,51).
