Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Not At Home: Cracknell, Olive And Jack Russell On A Ferret by Frank Paton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,617.16), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Paton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work First, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 17,327.50 (€ 25,788.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Not At Home: Cracknell, Olive And Jack Russell On A Ferret von Frank Paton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.617,16) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Paton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit First beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 17.327,50 (€ 25.788,51) versteigert wurde.
