Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sailing A Boat by Frank McKelvey was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in September 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,476.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Frank McKelvey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The sunlit bench in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 40,800.00 (€ 60,039.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sailing A Boat von Frank McKelvey wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.476,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
