In October 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Children On The Shore by Frank McKelvey. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 26,250.00 (€ 36,717.19), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Frank McKelvey have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 40,800.00 (€ 60,039.96) in May 2007 for the work The sunlit bench.
