Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The First Violin by Frank Holl was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 32,251.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Holl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Absconded in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 90,370.00 (€ 134,497.63).

Die Arbeit The First Violin von Frank Holl wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 32.251,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Holl auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Absconded im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 90.370,00 (€ 134.497,63).
