Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Untitled (Blue, Purple and Green) by Frank Avray Wilson. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,541.84). Admittedly, works by Frank Avray Wilson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wish in March 2012 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Blue, Purple and Green) von Frank Avray Wilson zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.541,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Avray Wilson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wish im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23).
