This artwork by Frank Avray Wilson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2018. In the Modern/British & Irish Art auction, the work Configuration in red and black sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,689.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Avray Wilson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Wish sold at auction in March 2012 with the realized price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Avray Wilson erzielte im November 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern/British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Configuration in red and black für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.689,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frank Avray Wilson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Wish im März 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23).
